With over 20 years of experience, Jean-Yves has lead businesses in industrial, retail, and consumer goods industries across Europe, Russia, Africa, and Asia. As a CEO and leader of regional and worldwide functions at Danone, he developed his expertise in strategy development, innovation, mergers and acquisitions. He consistently delivered strong business results in both growth and turn-around environments by his ability to identify key levers of performance and define ambitious strategies based on a few focused initiatives. His early years in operations in the automotive industry and in retail have given him a strong background in leading large (1000+) teams and in delivering excellence in execution.

With a broad curiosity for local cultures and a passion for people development, he enjoys developing high-performance leadership teams. His personal use of coaching throughout his career has given him an in-depth insight into the value of executive coaching to support change in leaders and impact business performance. Convinced that attitudes and mindset are drivers of change, he helps leaders and teams get the clarity and self-confidence that they need to perform.

He coaches at Managing Director level and above, including C-Suite executives in Multi-Nationals, Investment Banking and the broader financial services sector. He regularly mentors Start-up CEOs and speaks at leadership development programmes.  His style is supportive with empathy for the realities of senior executive pressures and positively challenging to deliver meaningful results. 

Jean-Yves trained as an executive coach with Barefoot in the UK and holds a PCC accreditation with ICF. He receives group supervision from Amanda Ramirez. He is trained as a professional Scrum Master I (PSM I) and is certified to deliver Hogan assessment . He holds a Master of Engineering from Ecole Centrale Paris (France) and Cornell University (US) and graduated from INSEAD’s AMP program. He is a certified independent director by INSEAD and sits on several for profit and non-for profit boards. Being both French and German, Jean-Yves can coach in French, German and English.
